success stories after HSG

Ladies who had their HSG. How long has it been since your HSG and has any one gotten bfp yet?

I had my HSG done yesterday and the dr told me that my cervix had a blockage it took him over 30 min before he was able to get through ( it was extremely painful) And my cervix is facing back. my uterus and fallopian tubes are all great. The dr said the blockage in my cervix is what made it so difficult to get pg. I guess I just want to hear some success stories after having a HSG.

I had an HSG in September. I had blockages in both Fallopian tubes. They got thru but it was painful. I conceived 5 days later. Now I'm 22w pregnant with a boy!

I had m hsg on Monday. You are right it is painful!!!! He had to reclamp my cervix to get the dye to go into tube. Never would go up right side so it's blocked. Idk what's next for me.

Krissieleah;
your story gives me hope that now it can actually happen to me too. After 29 mnth of ttc I hope this is it. With the blockage out of the way my chances went up.

Try4baby;
I know it is hard to find out after so long ttc that there is something wrong. But don't loose hope. There are few things they can do. Surgery to clean the tube or ivf. GL after HSG they say it increases your chances of conceiving even with one fallopian tube. It will happen one way or the other.

I had my HSG done May '10 while my husband was deployed to Afghanistan. He returned Oct 2, 2010 and we got our BFP 16 days later! I would say it probably worked immediately!

It was soooo horrible! Painful and very uncomfortable! One tube was clear and the other one was cleared by the dye. IUI this Saturday so hopefully the hsg will be what I needed!
Loved all the success stories!

I haven't been back see my doctor. I need to call him. I'm sort of taking a break the emotional ups and downs with this was getting to me.

Just a quick question regarding the hsg, did u look at the screen with pictures on it?
The lady who did it told me I had a tilted uterus or something along those lines and that was causing the dye to run out and wasn't going up far enough. She made me put my fists under my backside to help but not sure this did.
I know you shouldn't research too much on the Internet but I thought the pictures should show the dye going in a y shape if everything is ok, where as mine was just sitting in the bottom middle?!
Just wondering if anyone else saw the pics on the screen too? As it seemed as though she was getting frustrated and said she thinks everything is ok but was kind of vague. Will know more when I see the specialist with all my results I spose.

Sorry for long post

had one three yrs. ago. no blockage, currently 17 weeks pregnant via IVF with first child. HSG had no impact for me b/c a blockage was not my problem. Good luck!
